National Lottery Community Fund (£375k) – I co-wrote a successful funding application to The National Lottery Community Fund for a three-year “Intercultural Therapy & Outreach” initiative (June 2023-2026). This project enabled Nafsiyat Intercultural Therapy Centre to develop and scale community-based psychotherapy services for adults (18+) experiencing acute mental distress and facing marginalisation because of race, cultural background, refugee or asylum status. We partnered with four local organisations in North London - Islington Bangladesh Association, Hopscotch Women’s Centre, Elizabeth House Community Centre and Kurdish Advice Centre - to deliver monthly outreach sessions, coordinate referrals, liaise with the clinical team, and embed wrap-around support (employment, benefits, housing) through Community Link Workers.

The result: enhanced access to therapy in over 20 languages, and strengthened multi-agency partnerships and community reach.
