Health Innovation KSS – Co-developed an intercultural practice toolkit for professionals working with asylum seekers and migrants: Worked with the KSS Health Innovation Network and Nafsiyat to design and co-write the Core Intercultural Concepts and Principles Toolkit, a practical resource for NHS staff and frontline practitioners supporting asylum seekers, refugees and wider migrant communities across Kent, Surrey and Sussex. The toolkit translates Nafsiyat’s intercultural therapy model into accessible guidance for non-clinical professionals, covering cultural formulation, trauma-informed practice, anti-racist approaches, identity and belonging, community context, language, and power dynamics. I shaped the structure, wrote key sections, and ensured the content was grounded, evidence-informed and usable for busy practitioners. The final publication has been adopted across regional NHS teams as a foundational resource for improving culturally responsive care.
