Health Innovation KSS – Lead designer and co-author of the Intercultural Awareness Course for specialist midwives, health visitors and school nurses: Led the design and development of a CPD-accredited intercultural awareness course in partnership with Nafsiyat and Health Innovation Kent Surrey Sussex, funded by the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities and NHS England South East. I shaped the curriculum, developed learning outcomes, authored core modules and integrated practical tools, animations and real-life case studies to help frontline practitioners support migrant families and unaccompanied asylum-seeking children (UASC). The course covers intercultural practice, trauma-informed care, safeguarding pathways, cultural norms affecting health and parenting, and workforce wellbeing. I also ensured the platform was accessible and multilingual. The final programme is now being used by specialist midwives, health visitors and school nurses across the region to strengthen culturally responsive, safe and compassionate care.
